Vibhav Mithal BALLB (NUJS, Kolkata) LLM (BU Law)
Vibhav Mithal is a Managing Associate at Anand and Anand and practises as an IPR litigator in New Delhi, India, in diverse areas ranging from patent law and trademark law to copyright law and plant varieties. He has been an integral part of many path-breaking litigations, such as the Aloys Wobben dispute (Supreme Court, 2014); Roche v. Cipla (Delhi High Court, 2015); Monsanto dispute (Supreme Court, 2019) and Ferid Allani (Delhi High Court, 2019 and Intellectual Property Appellate Board, 2020).
An AI Enthusiast, Vibhav also contributes as a volunteer to various AI initiatives. He currently serves as the Head of Community of Milton Keynes Artificial Intelligence, MKAI (www.mkai.org), an inclusive community that engages in open conversation about important themes in artificial intelligence and has diverse thinkers that together are shaping the future of Artificial Intelligence. Vibhav is also a Contributor at and co-lead of #teamindia at ForHumanity (www.forhumanity.centre), an organization seeking to examine and analyse the downside risks associated with AI and autonomous systems and engage in risk mitigation to ensure the optimal outcome for ForHumanity. He also serves on the Peer Review Board of the Journal – AI & Ethics – which is published by Springer (ISSN: 2730-5961). Vibhav regularly speaks at AI events.
